Celebrity Hair Body and Thickness
Hair loss is a major concern for a lot of men around the world. While women obsess over their weight and overall skin care beauty, men are spending just as much time in front of the mirror, lamenting over every hair that is lost. While there are cosmetic procedures such as hair plugs and hair transplants that can fill in those bald patches, a visit to your doctor should be your first step. There are skin care products for the scalp that may help retain existing hair, but you must first rule out any medical condition that may be causing you to lose your hair.
There are many causes of excessive hair loss. Most conditions are easily treatable, and simply require a routine medical checkup. For example, illness-related stress can trigger temporary loss. This can be tricky to recognize, because the loss can sometimes occur 3 to 4 months after the illness or major surgery that caused it. Hormonal imbalance can affect the cosmetic look of your hair as well. So, you can see why health is so important to all skin care beauty, including hair. Certain medicines can cause chunks of hair to all down the shower drain as well. If your hair loss is related to health, no amount of topical skin care products will help. But, there are products that have proven very helpful, if health-related hair loss is ruled out.
Over the past several years, hair restoration medications have flooded the market. While these products may not be considered skin care products in the traditional sense, they help correct the problem at its core, which is the scalp. For example, Minoxidil (Rogaine), is available without a prescription, and is applied directly to the scalp. Another very promising medication is Finasteride (Propecia.) this is taken orally in pill form, and has shown great results in many men.
Most people think of skin care beauty as something related to our cosmetic look, but don’t forget that our hair and scalp is skin as well. If you’ve tried over-the-counter skin care products to stop the hair loss to no avail, an underlying medical condition may be the problem; therefore, a visit to your doctor may be called for. Hair loss doesn’t have to be the end of the world. With a little research and a bit of treatment, you won’t have to say, hair today, gone tomorrow.
